Designing With Web - Part 3: week 1

Reinvent walking experience for entrepreneurs based on smart cities

Group 87

Project 1: Walk for Entrepreneurs

Context

when? where? who? why?

Our project aims to give entrepreneurs a new walking experience thanks to an app that gives him itinerance preferences. An entrepreneur needs efficiency when he goes from a place to another every day. He also needs to get his mind free from pressure. We will focus on some cities such as Paris and Lyon to develop our app. A connected app like ours will make cities smarter.

Target

For whom?

We have decided to target entrepreneurs. This special population has issues, needs and everyday tasks that are very particular and that require a strong attention. Those entrepreneurs are also living in big cities, where we can find incubators, technological hubs that are usuful to entrepreneurs for their work.

In addition of that, entrepreneurs need time to work but also time to think, find new ideas or just sometimes spend some free time outside (they still are human).

Service offered

what? how?

The entrepreneur will have several possibilities. He can chose the fastest intinerary from point A to point B. But he can also chose a more relaxed path. Indeed entrepreneurs also need time to relax and get free from all the pressure. This app anables him to chose how and why he wants to walk.

Project 2: Smart Bracelets

Context

when? where? who? why?

Our second project aims at helping entrepreneur to direct himself in the city without looking at his phone. An entrepreneur lacks time, when he moves in a city, he wants to go as fast as possible without stopping. A lot of GPS app already exist, our bracelets will be complementary options to them. You can use them everywhere, in cities or in rural areas.

Target

for whom?

We target people who doesn't have a lot of time in their everyday life, they are not walking for pleasure but for necessity. They are not doing everyday the same walking routes, they discover new itinereraries every day. These people are mainly active workers who are living in cities. They accept to walk when they need to move. Especially, entrepreneurs match with this description : they don't have daily routine, their planing and moves change depending on their client, their call and their appointment.

Service offered

what? how?

The service we propose is revolutionnary for entrepreneurs. Instead of buying an expensive connected watch (that is clearly unaffordable for new launched entrepreneurs), our connected bracelets will be cheaper and simpler to use for them. It is an extension of a regular geolocation application, and the concept is basic. You have to wear a bracelet at each of your arms, and then, the route you have to take will be indicated with a simple vibration. When you have to turn right, your right-armed bracelet will send a vibration, and the inverse when you have to turn left.
